Many superb WordPress blogs do not get the traffic they deserve simply because they are not optimized to rank highly within the search engines. Fortunately, there are several simple things that can be done to optimize a WordPress blog to get better page rank. Read on to find the best tricks and secrets to apply to your blog today!
o Take advantage of the SEO plug-in. WordPress offers an All in One SEO pack that bloggers can install. This plug-in will allow you to do the behind the scenes SEO work required for high page rank, such as adding custom titles, tags, and descriptions.
o Consider keywords before every blog post. Before you start writing a new blog post, do some keyword research to find a good long tail keyword phrase to incorporate into your entry. Look for key phrases that get at least several hundred searches each month. The keyword phrase should be incorporated into the title and used at least 3 times per 100 words. Select a unique keyword phrase for each post to get the best results.
o Take advantage of social bookmarking. Mark your page using social media sites such as Del.ic.io.us, Digg, or StumpleUpon. These sites will create quality backlinks to your blog and expose you to a new audience.
o Optimize permalinks for SEO. WordPress' permalink setting will not be on the correct setting for SEO purposes by default. Rather than giving unique posts a URL that incorporates the title, WordPress will assign the post a random number. To change the permalink settings, go to your blog dashboard, then click Settings, then Permalinks. Then modify your permalink to a custom setting by entering yourwebsite.com/category/postname.

Simple SEO For WordPress Series (For Non Techies)
There is a lot of good information out there on search engine optimization (SEO), and probably the same amount of bad information. Personally, I have a lot to learn about SEO, not only for myself, but for my clients as well.
I've procrastinated on learning more about SEO for my WordPress site because it seems like such a big boring subject that is just way too technical. Every time I read about SEO, my eyes glaze over and I fall asleep. Well not really fall asleep, but I'd like to.
So I've decided to write this series on SEO. (I firmly believe that we teach because we need to learn). I'm armed with several awesome resources recommended by some really awesome bloggers and business people.
At first glance, they don't appear to be the boring stuff that makes me want to go and clean the oven instead. So stay tuned because I am passing along to you all the simple little SEO tips I come across in my research. I'm also challenging myself to see if I can turn my blog (Volkswagen van) into a highly optimized machine (Porsche).
Note: I have nothing against Volkswagen vans--but everyone has been behind one while traveling through the mountains. Right? So then you know what I am saying.
This is what I have learned so far:
SEO is not magic where only a chosen few get to have the wands, chalices, and urns. You do not have to spend thousands of dollars to optimize your site. You CAN spend this much and you WILL benefit from it, but realistically what new business has that kind of disposable cash?
SEO is something that everyone can learn at least something about. Every little tweak will get more people reading, expand your reach, get you higher ranking in the search engines, and closer to your desired outcome, whether that's more sales, fame, a massive following. Or maybe it is something else.
What is the number one SEO "trick"?
(Drum roll as Porsche drives up)
1. Writing content that people want to read. Content that is helpful, interesting, informative, amusing, outright funny, spellbinding, controversial, and something that your target market or audience wants to read about. You have to make it the very best you can. You have to tweak it until it has all of the above features and then some. It has to be your best stuff.
What is the number two SEO "Trick"?
1. If you think you know what your target market or audience wants to read on your blog, but you haven't asked them, then you are probably missing the point. And if you don't know what they want, then you can't optimize for your target market or audience because you don't know what they are searching for.
So go out there and find out what your target market wants to read about and you will be well on the way to ranking well in the search engines.

2.5 Million WordPress Blog Pages Using SEO Friendly Plug-Ins
In just over two months a new WordPress plug-in captured the attention of bloggers. The reviews sky-rocketed overnight. The creator of this plug-in first introduced it in the Warrior's forum, an internet marketing forum where people learn to market on the internet, and experienced marketers and developers share their ideas and products.
Fortunately, I took advantage of the initial product launch. At the time I had no idea precisely how the plug-in worked or how easy it would be to use and get results. In fact, I filed it away for a time until I could find the most opportune time to install and use it. After watching the easy-to-follow video tutorial of how it worked, I could see that the prospects were very promising.
Watch Your Traffic Increase
After the super-easy install of the "SEOPressor" plug-in created by SEO Analyst Daniel Tan, traffic began to increase. Shortly thereafter he upgraded the software allowing one to see the results of each change as the post is written. In other words, you could measure and see the percentage of your on-page SEO ranking and correct or adjust it while writing the post.
Many report achieving 100% optimization for several of their pages, even attaining the coveted number one spot or first page in Google as a result. The tool is very effective in helping you to write search engine friendly posts without sacrificing quality.
Easy to install and Use
Easy installation, ease of use, and stellar results is one way to describe SEOPressor. This is one product that over-delivered and continues to do so. There are plenty of bold promises on the internet that fall short their claim but this one is truly a winner. With 2.5 million blog pages already getting results, it has quite a credible list of fans. It can be used on one or several blogs. It's a fun tool to use.

How To Achieve Best WordPress SEO
You might start your quest for best WordPress SEO by looking at the numerous WordPress SEO Plugins available. You will see lots of articles and posts reviewing these and producing top tens. You can also find articles giving the author's views on the essential plugins for anyone serious about SEO.
Whilst I agree that there are many beneficial plugins (and they should be used) it is a mistake to think that they will by themselves give you best WordPress SEO. It is better to think of them as fine tuning your WordPress site to make it as search engine friendly as possible but they won't turn round a site with poor basic SEO.
The biggest mistake you can make with SEO is to choose the wrong keywords. For the average webmaster getting a high ranking for highly competitive keywords will be very difficult if not, for practical purposes, impossible. It is therefore vital that you find less competitive keywords, but still with a good search volume, at the outset. It is always tempting to rush this stage but if you get it wrong it could well be that all your other SEO activities are a waste of time.
The other key requirement for best WordPress SEO is good content. Your content should be unique, of value to visitors and should be updated/added to frequently. Each page/post should be targeted at a keyword which should be used throughout the text and in various tags. You should understand how to write in a search engine friendly way and run through a checklist before you publish a page/post to ensure it is done properly. Best WordPress SEO is not trying to manipulate or deceive the search engines in any way it is simply writing your content in a way that enables the search engines to understand the relevancy of it.
So, if you have good keywords and good content you can start to achieve best WordPress SEO by installing some plugins to address the following:
Titles - Control format of titles (in browser title bar and search engine results).
Duplicate Content - No index duplicate content.
Links - Automatically add internal and external links.
Canonical URLs - Helps enforce chosen URL format (e.g. use of WWW or not).
URL shortening - Remove common words from URLs.
Sitemap - Make it easy for the search engines to find and index content.
Monitor for Errors - Report broken links and 404 errors.
Caching - Make the site load faster (good for SEO).
The above is not a complete list as there are many more things you can do to fine tune your best WordPress SEO. One SEO plugin I would mention specifically is SEOPressor which is one of my favourites.
SEOPressor helps achieve Best WordPress SEO by analysing each page and post each time you save. It then gives a score for your SEO and tells you how to improve it. This is easy and saves a lot of time. To learn more about SEOPressor Click Here.

Learn Best Known WordPress SEO Services and Rank High on the SERPs
So, now when you have already designed your blog or website on the WordPress platform, it is time to configure how to optimize it. In order to actually get it optimized and rank for its primary keywords so that quality traffic comes on it, it is important for you to understand WordPress SEO. To begin with WordPress SEO services, the rule states that you should first take into the account on-site SEO, however, it is quite difficult to strike the right balance since you have to ensure that you do not go overboard with it. After all, you want to your website appear interesting and readable for human visitors.
For instance, if you start stuffing keywords in even sentences where it does not make sense, you will only be able to attract search engine spiders to an extent. No reader would show any interest in such website, where content is hampered or does not provide much informative value. So, ensure to implement balanced on-site SEO services unless you want people to hit your site and bounce like a silly-putty ball.
Sounds complex? Need not worry since you can avail a great number of tools to make it easier to improve the SEO of your website. Since WordPress is clearly the most favorite platform to create websites in general and blogs, the complete industry has stood together to create WordPress SEO plugins. These plugins largely demystified and automated the on-site SEO requirements for WordPress. Interested SEO professionals can easily avail all kinds of tools ranging from absolutely free plugins such as Platinum SEO, HeadSpace2, to Google Video Sitemaps and other premium plugins including SEOpressor and My SEO Status.
However, if we go by the general rule, below given are the following procedures are known to boost up your optimization without having to create pages that appear too "over-board" to real visitors. The,most useful piece of advice here is that implement these consistently across your site. If an individual creates a new page or a post and want to rank in the search engines to attract more and more visitors, then he must choose a SINGLE keyword phrase that is most relevant to your site to optimize the page for. Avoid optimizing it for more than one keyword. Post the selection of your keyword that you wold want to optimize that page or post for, do the following.
Popular WordPress SEO Services
Place keyword in the page TITLE which means the HTML title tag.
Ensure to repeat the keyword in H1 and H2 and if possible H3.
Place the keyword in the "alt" attribute along with the "title" attribute on the image tag.
Put the keyword Placement in "keywords" and "description" meta tags in the header would also help.
Addition of an an image larger than 200 pixels but smaller than 1000, with the keyword in the image file's name may also boost optimization.
Some related keywords, called LSI (latent semantic index) keywords should be placed within in the content.
If you have noticed, all these WordPress SEO services are implemented without really hampering the reading experience for your visitors. Hence, with these steps and a few more like these, one can actually gain the potential to optimize a post or a page without having to affect the content.
