Keyword density is the number of repetition of keyword per 100 words in the post. For best result in Google search the keyword density must be around 3-4%.

Backlinking Strategy

Another means of marketing a blog is by backlinking strategy. Backlinks are of two types - nofollow and dofollow. Nofollow links do not contribute much to the page ranking of the blog. Always try to get dofollow backlinks from sites. Many blogs offer guest posting service by which you can develop content for their blog and in return you can get a dofollow backlink to you blog. Some forums give dofollow links at the signature place of the post.

Directories

There are several web directories in the internet. You can submit your links to these directories and increase your page ranking. Top web directories will also give to visitors coming to that directory. Many of them are paid and they will get the best results. Free directories are also worth it.

Content

The content that is published in your blog must be unique over the internet and not one element of it must be copied from elsewhere on the internet. Copying content is called plagiarism and many tools are found in the internet to check plagiarism. If google BOTS find copied content in a site that site is likely to get blacklisted and will not appear in search results. Also frequently updating a blog will help add to its page ranking. Updating a blog regularly is similar to feeding the hungry search engines with what they want.
